If Elen doesn't succeed, the Master of the House of the Star will close both Ymbria and Caledon off from the worldroads forever. CAITLIN BRENNAN is the author of a dozen acclaimed novels, including "The Mountain's Call," "Song of Unmaking," and "Shattered Dance." A graduate of Yale and Cambridge University, she holds degrees in ancient and medieval history, and breeds Lipizzan horses at Dancing Horse Farm, her home in Vail, Arizona.
