Barn art: A Public Art Installation

March 15th – April 4th, 2009

Twenty established and emerging artists have created unique sculptures from identical plywood cutouts in the shapes of roosters and cows - images drawn from typical rural and agricultural scenes. The animals are currently displayed on sites in and around Point Reyes Station and at the Marin French Cheese Company in Petaluma. Barn Art is one of many art exhibitions mounted as part of the conference's extensive art programming and sponsored, in part by the Marin Arts Council. The Barn Art animals will be up for sale the weekend of April 4th. Anyone interested in bidding on them should email geohope@ptreyesbooks.com.
