Leonard Koren
author of Making WET: The Magazine of Gourmet Bathing
Making WET: The Magazine of Gourmet Bathing tells the story of one of the inspiring—and mythical—cultural manifestations of the late 1970s and early 80s. Published in Venice (CA), the magazine attracted talented visual communicators—including Matt Groening, April Greiman, Gary Panter, Herb Ritts, John Van Hamersvelt, Matthew Rolston, Bob Zoell—at seminal moments in their careers and was an incubator of the graphic styles later known as New Wave and Postmodern. Artist and architect Leonard Koren, founder and publisher of WET, is also author of Wabi-Sabi: for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers, the classic volume on the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.
