Jacob Needleman

Philosopher and scholar of religions Jacob Needleman frames humanity’s role on the planet in a new way, exploring how the care and maintenance of a world is vital and basic to our existence as authentic human beings. In his childhood, Needleman’s experience with a terminally ill friend made him question the meaning of existence. He has carried those questions into explorations of science and philosophy throughout his career. His conclusions offered in this book provide a new sense of the purpose of our lives and the planet we live on.
